HexRoom
A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER

Why we’re building HexRoom, and what we promise you.

I built HexRoom because following the market had become a full-time job in itself.

A headline breaks on one app. The price moves on another. The people who actually understand the company are arguing about it somewhere else entirely, and by the time you find that conversation, the moment has passed. The filing sits unread in a PDF. Everyone has a strong opinion and nobody keeps score.

None of those tools are bad. The problem is that they don’t talk to each other, and the space between them is where you lose money and time.

HexRoom puts it in one place. Breaking news lands in seconds. Every ticker has a live room, so the conversation about a stock happens next to the stock. When you post an idea, you say which way you lean and the tape grades it, so a track record is something you earn rather than something you claim. And when you have a question, you can ask it the way you’d ask a colleague who has read the filing, listened to the call, and been in the room.

A few promises, because they’re the whole point.

We won’t fake a crowd. No bots posting as members. No made-up activity to make a quiet room look busy. If nobody is there yet, the app will say so. We would rather show you an honest empty room than a fake full one.

Ideas get graded, not just liked. A call is a call. It’s timestamped, and the market decides whether it was right. Popular and correct are different things, and HexRoom keeps them apart.

Your attention is the product we protect, not the one we sell. Notifications are rare and earned. We cap them. A push from HexRoom means something happened, not that we wanted you to open the app.

Free, and built to stay useful. The app is free. Everything above is in the free app, on the first day.

We’re a small team in San Francisco. I’ve spent the last ten years building consumer products in tech, and the lesson that stuck is that people can tell when a product respects them. We’re building HexRoom carefully, with real market data and real sources, and we’re going to ship the thing before we make big claims about it. If you scanned the code on this page, thank you. You’re early, and early people shape what this becomes.

If you have a ticker you wish had a better room, an idea we should grade, or a reason this won’t work, write to me. I read every one.
